It seems as though I haven't blogged in decades. I guess in reality it has almost been a whole month. That's terrible. It is probably because we really haven't done too much. Kai has beenrecovering very well from his back surgery. He is now in physical therapy and is doing well with that although they think his muscles are still a little too tight to really get into it. But, he can feel that the surgery worked which is such a relief. Now on to the next phase in life.

Two weekends ago, Kai's brothers and sisters came for a big old barbecue. It was somewhat of a reunion if you will. Only one that wasn't here was Daniel. It was a lot of fun and wish that everyone could have stayed longer. But like my brother said, we can't just live off of fun. Well...why not, I say! Life would be so much more relaxing if that was what we lived off of. Anyhow, we had a hot dog roast at our house on Friday and then on Saturday was the big barbecue. It was a ton of fun.

This last weekend was my nephew Kjelden's birthday. It was a very awesome experience and Matthew absolutely loves to go to baptisms. Although, he was very restless during the whole meeting part of it. Our brother Peter his wife Sondra and little Haley (ok, I can never remember if it is with or without and 'i', so sorry) were here for that. It is always fun to see them and torture them that they should move up here. Well, I suppose that we will never get any of our family to move back as there isn't a whole lot here for anyone. I guess we will just have to try to make more visits.

Matthew is growing big and well, becoming more independent. It gets frustrating sometimes, but I guess he has to learn sometime right? I just with he would become more independent in the area I want him to be....potty trained! Oh well. He absolutely loves Mason. If Mason isn't right there he always asks, "Where's Mason?" If we go somewhere without Mason, he is kind of lonely. It is so cute.

Mason is, well, getting big. I think I missed the whole fact that he can walk now. He is so much happier now. He absolutely loves Matthew too. He loves to torture him. What are little siblings for right? I wouldn't know, I didn't have any littler siblings and I NEVER tortured my older siblings. ;)

I guess that is the update on our lives. I have finally taken some pictures to share so this isn't such a boring blog. But, everything is going well in our lives.

Matthew cuddling in some blankets as it was pretty cold this morning in our house.

Mason just giving his cheesy grin. He has such a cute personality. Even if it is at 2:00 in the morning!

I suppose I should share a picture of me. I was just being goofy last night and Kai took this picture.
Matthew and his cousins playing hula hoops at the barbecue. Like his "hair?"

Mason doing his most favorite thing to do...eating.

Our wonderful barbecued food. Thanks to Kai's mom, it turned out so well.

Matthew still playing with hula hoops. He had to be just like the girls.

Some of Kai's family, less Jeremie and Daniel.

ALL of the grandkids on Kai's side of the family. Aren't they all so cute?

We both saw the Hawaiian pictures and said, "Is that Matthew?" He looks great with long blonde hair. He sure is a cutie!
And we like the picture of you with the hat too. :)
Thanks for posting the update, I like to hear how you guys are doing.
