We haven't watched any new movies for a while, and so we decided the other night that we would go and rent a few. The three we rented were "Mamma Mia", "The Dark Knight" (the Batman one), and "Eagle Eye." We didn't get a chance to watch "Eagle Eye" because things just got too busy. Which is the one we really wanted to watch anyhow. But I felt like giving my review of the two movies we did watch. "Mamma Mia...." well, I loved the music. I have always liked the music in it. Maybe not all of the songs as some of them were just dumb but it had great music and who knew that Pierce Brosnan could sing? I think he did pretty good considering the fact that he really isn't a singer. Anyhow, it wasn't worth watching I would say even though I think that the off Broadway play we went to in New York was worse concerning the content.
"The Dark Knight." I liked "Batman Begins" a lot better. Even though I am not a big Batman fan. "The Dark Knight" was just way too violent for me. I have a hard time with the war movies where they are fighting for something good, but this movie was just not for me.
The other movie that we rented was for Matthew, "Monster's Inc." Let's just say that he loved it and we have probably memorized it by now. Thank goodness it had to go back. I think there were times he watched it maybe 4 times a day. Pretty sad.
Hopefully soon we will get to watch "Eagle Eye" sometime and hopefully it will be one that I can give a good report on to equal out the bad reviews.

I also thought that The Dark Knight was a bit violent... Monsters Inc, however, is a classic! I would've loved to watch it with ya!
Yeah, the Dark Knight was just a little too "dark" for me. You've got to watch Eagle Eye! Danen and I saw it in the theater and LOVED it! I haven't seen Mama Mia yet, but your review is like every other I've heard, i.e. the music is great!
I totally agree with you about Mamma Mia, crazy movie but Pierce Brosnan singing! That was cool! :) And I have to be the only one to disagree about Dark Knight...LOVED IT!! But I'm a nig Batman fan. :)
gn That's so funny...Chris and I just watched both of those movies too. I'm now totally into Abba thanks to Mamma Mia. I loved The Dark Knight though despite all the violence and explosions! :) Thanks again for the cake and sweet card. It was so nice of you to remember! I was thinking about getting a group of girls together for a girls night next weekend...would you be interested? I'd love for you to come!
