Baby News

Well, for those of you who want to know, I haven't had the baby yet. :( I had my doctor's appointment yesterday (Tuesday) and he checked me to see how much I was dilated. I am to a 4 and am 80% effaced. Also, the head is at -2 station. For those of you who don't know what any of that means...it means it is getting close. So, I'm sorry if I gross anyone out, but this is just what happens when you are pregnant and have babies. He stripped my membranes and I had quite a few contractions yesterday. Today I haven't really had a whole lot except for one that hurt pretty bad. So...my hope is that I will have it by my due date which is the 10th. The doctor said he was pretty sure I would have it really soon...but in the "What to Expect when you are Expecting" book it says that sometimes when they say that it could mean up to three weeks. Well... I don't have three weeks. I can't go that much longer, so I am hoping he is really thinking here in just a couple of days. He is on call this weekend, so it better be by Sunday, or at least my before my next appointment which is on Thursday. So, there you have it. I have grossed everyone out and now you all know where I stand...with a big belly in front of me. :)
