Do I try, try again?

So, I was homebound today and I decided to try to have a little fun and make some cookies with Matthew. Kai has been telling me I need to make cookies for a while, so I decided to give it a try. Well...I failed. Here is a picture of my failure. This is about the first three batches.

Yeah, I know. Pretty sad. I don't know if I just melted the butter too much, or if I didn't wait long enough for them to cool, which I thought I did. Or, maybe it was just the stress of having both of the boys crying at me and I was trying to take care of it all. So, alas, I don't know when the next time is I will try again. I guess I did have a couple batches turn out ok. These are what they look like.
