Gift #9: Prophets. What a wonderful gift this is. Wouldn't be lost if we didn't have someone to warn us, counsel us, and give us hope. I know that President Monson is a true prophet of God. When we sustained him I just had the greatest feeling inside to testify to me that he was called of God. He is a wonderful prophet and I also have a special place in my heart, as probably everyone else, for President Hinckley. I remember when we were visiting Salt Lake City one time and we went to the building where all their offices are, which I don't think you can do anymore. But as we were standing out in the lobby, President Hinckley walked by and gave us a big old smile and a wave. It made my day! He was such a wonderful man. And that was even before he was the president of the church.
We thank thee, o God, for a prophet,
To guide us in these Latter days.
We thank for every blessing bestowed by they bounteous hand.
We feel it a pleasure to serve thee,
and love to obey they command.

I love to think about the prophet and what he does for each of us. I am also grateful for prophets who do guide us.
