Gifts 7 & 8

Ok, so apparently I am not supposed to have pictures to go along with these posts, as for some reason anything I try will not work. Sorry.

Gift #7: Temples. We have been given temples for a few reasons. One is to complete all the ordinances to be able to live in the celestial kingdom. Another reason is to do that work for the dead. And because they are the place that we can be closest to Him, as it is His house. Even though we don't get there as much as we would like to, I sure do love going to the temple. I always feel so much peace there and like everyone else, it is so nice to leave the world behind when I go to the temple.

The temples that have the most meaning to me are the Billings and the Mt. Timpanogas temples. The Billings is because that is where I received my endowments and the Mt. TImpanogas because that is where we got married. I have always loved that temple and even though we had the Billings temple, that is where I wanted to get married. Kai knew that and I don't even really think he asked which temple I wanted to get married in when he asked me to marry him, because he already knew. Thank honey!

Gift #8: A special day and a place to worship him. Churches and the Sabbath Day. I am grateful that we can go to church every week and renew our covenants and to learn more about him. To get spiritually uplifted. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have a church to go to. I love the upliftment we get from going to church. I am also grateful, most of the time, for a Sabbath Day. I seem to have a hard time with Sunday's for some reason. But then I think about a song on a tape I used to have that says something to the effect of too often we think of the things that we can not do on Sundays, but we need to turn it around and think of the things that we ought to. I know I definitely need to do better wih that. I love the Sundays we go visit family, and I love it when friends invite us over, or like yesterday, the General Presidency Christmas Broadcast. It was wonderful! I just need to come up with different things of service and such to do on a Sunday so I don't get so bored and...well, bored. But I am grateful for the Sabbath Day. It is a day to worship him and to rest.

Wasn't the First Presidency Broadcast awesome? We watched it too- on our computer. I love the Timpanogos and Billings temples too. Well... they are all great! :)
