Not too much

Well, we haven't been up to a whole lot these past few days, as you can see I haven't posted in a while. Both Matthew and Mason have been sick with the cold since Sundayish. Not too fun, especially since Matthew seems to be extra crabby. I think Mason is over it. At least it sounds like he can breathe now when I lay him down to sleep. Matthew's nose is still running over and he just throws fits about everything. It seems as of late that there isn't anything that he does do that I don't get after him for. I guess I need to either be a little bit on the more chipper side myself or I just need to choose my battles. Or I need to just pay more attention to him. I seem to have been trying to get different things done and neither things get done. The attention or the things around the house. But...today I decided to clean our laundry room up some more. You know, I have decided that a person needs to go through each room once a month and throw away stuff. Seriously, we have more and more bags of junk each time I go through everything. That could be a good thing because then maybe by the time we move again we won't have so much "junk" to move. Would be nice.

Anyhow, I have been teaching piano lessons as of late and they seem to be going well. I have one child that, I don't know if he really is learning anything, I think he has an attention problem, but I will keep working with him. Then I am teaching our wonderful nephew Kjelden. He is catching right on and he wants to go farther in the book than we are, but eventually it will get harder for him and he won't be able to handle it right? Then I am teaching a teenage girl. She kind of knows how to play the hymns, so I didn't know where to start her. But I decided to use a technique I learned at a John Schmidt class that I went to with Alice. We will see how it goes. It will probably drive her and her family crazy, but it may be worth it. It just that you assign a song that they will actually end up playing more than once in their lives, like the hymns, and give them like a line to practice. Each time they mess up they have to start over again until they get it perfect. So, to not drive them too crazy I gave her two lines. We'll see.

Kai's work is going well. He says it gets a bit tedious at times, but I guess most jobs do, right? We both stay busy with our little projects we have going. And I just keep adding more and more things onto my plate, I hope I can complete one of them before I add another one.

I was going through my pictures yesterday and found a picture of Matthew when he was about Mason's age now. I thought I would post them to show how much they look alike. Let's see...

Ok, Matthew may have been a little older, but they still look quite a bit alike. Both very very cute!
